*Florida resident requirements for divorce. In the State of Florida at least one of the parties getting divorce must live in Florida for more than 6 months. In order to proof residency you must provide a copy of a Florida ID or voters registration card. If you do not have ID you may have someone who knows you and is a Florida resident fill out an affidavit (we will provide you with this) stating that you have resided in the state for more than 6 months.
